What does it take to race 100 miles? The right people in your corner.
Over the course of nearly a year, Jake set out to prepare for a 100-mile ultramarathon. He isn’t a professional athlete or a seasoned racer, just a runner wanting to test his limits. Talent wasn’t going to make the difference. It would be structure, coaching, community, and relentless support from the people around him.
This film captures the journey of an 18-hour top-25 finish, the ride to hell and back and back again. Early mornings, training runs with The Exchange Running Collective, a year’s worth of consistent sacrifice and showing up. The support from PT Ben Howe, friends, crew, pacers, and the steady guidance of coach Lauren Osborne, who not only built the plan but ran the final 25 miles alongside Jake.
This documentary is produced in partnership with R.A.D- whose shoes carried Jake during his training all the way through the final strides of the race. Join us for the premiere at the Regal Theatre, and experience a story about what becomes possible when you are determined and surround yourself with all the right people.
